Sept 2010 - Earthquake Update
24 September 2010
Following the earthquake we have had engineers on site surveying the area to ensure everything is as it should be. At this point in time our programme remains on track and ground conditions at Wigram remain stable. New subterranean services will be checked and double checked to ensure they are unaffected. Some areas will need to be resurveyed and locations relative to ‘control’ points fixed to ensure accuracy. The remaining hangers have sustained minor damage but have been declared safe while the Control Tower stands strong and proud with no damage reported.
As a company, we are currently working on an Earthquake Recovery Package for those home owners who have been affected by the earthquake. For enquiries regarding land availability, titles and purchase please contact Dene Maddren on 0800 944 726 or 021 622 749.
Also, many of you may have heard the word ‘liquefaction’ being used in the media recently and be wondering what it is. Further information on this subject can be found on the Environment Canterbury website at http://ecan.govt.nz/publications/General/solid-facts-christchurch-liquefaction.pdf
