May 2011 - Show Home Village to open this weekend

This weekend 21-22 May, Wigram Skies opens its first show home village situated in the Cecil Hill neighbourhood.  With nine show homes to visit from four local building companies (Golden Homes, Mike Greer Homes, Orange Homes and Peter Ray Homes) there is something for everyone.  The show homes will be open daily from 12-4pm in Sioux Avenue off Springs Road.  For directions to the show home village please click here .

Wigram Skies is undoubtedly one of the most significant residential developments to be undertaken in Christchurch for many years.  The large-scale master-planned community will be home to approximately 4,000 people, spread across 1,700 residential sections.

Ample green space and parks will provide for leisure pursuits close to home, and recreational facilities will also be on offer.  Wigram Skies is close to school facilities and medical centres, and only 2.5km from supermarkets and malls.

Wigram Skies' first neighbourhood, Cecil Hill, comprises 62 title ready sections and the new show home village.  The neighbourhood was named in commemoration of the man who made the very first flight at Wigram 94 years ago on 17 May, 1917.  Cecil Hill went on to become the chief instructor at the Canterbury Flying School, training airmen for World War One and the Royal Flying Corps.

White Wings, the second nighbourhood, comprises 45 sections (titles anticipated July 2011) and also remembers the early days of the Canterbury Flying School - White Wings was the name students gave to one of their first training aircraft in which they flew to get their 'tickets'.

Currently the Cecil Hill and White Wings neighbourhoods have residential sections for sale priced from $176,000.  All sections have reticulated gas, fibre optic cabling and are fully fenced.

For further information on purchasing sections within Wigram Skies, please contact Dene Maddren on 0800 944 726 or 021 622 749 or visit the Show Home Village.
